Thought of the week

Leonardo da Vinci
We all know that Leonardo da Vinci was way ahead of his time and I want to share this information I came across about how he potrayed his thinking and how we could all expand our own thinking process. He used words, symbols, sequences, listings, linear, analysis, association, visual rhythm, number, imagery and dimension to give a full and complete spectrum of a mind expressing itself in the fullest sense possible. Leonardo's Principles for the Development of a MENTALLY LITERATE MIND. 1 STUDY THE SCIENCE OF ART 2 STUDY THE ART OF SCIENCE 3 DEVELOP YOUR SENSES - ESPECIALLY LEARN HOW TO 'SEE' 4 REALISE THAT EVERYTHING CONNECTS TO EVERY- THING ELSE.

Awakening Angels
Several years ago I was asked to teach creativity workshops to the Solent Branch of the Institute of Management. During these fun evenings we worked together on unlocking our creative powers and finding ways to incorporate them in our working lives. The following quote appeared appropriately at that time and I would like to share it with you now. There is a story of Michelangelo working in his studio one day when a small boy wanders in - "Signor" he says, "why are you chipping at that block of marble"? "Because there is an ANGEL inside and I'm helping him to get out" replies the sculptor Maybe there is an Angel inside of us all. Have you found the right way to unleash yours yet?

Luck or Magic?
Are you lucky? Are you one of those special individuals who always get the last parking space, that 'must have' handbag at a knockdown price or even the very last Wii on the planet? Then PLEASE, please tell the rest of us just how you do it! Several years ago a Foundation for Industrial Psychology stated that evidence from lab tests (goodness only knows what they entailed), proved that there are clear indications that some people are luckier than others, and consistently so. So, how can we change our luck? Is it something that is mind over matter or can we really tap into an invisible winning formula? Positive thinking (that old chestnut) must have a part to play- I remember an ancient psychic called Evadne Price who was giving daily predictions many years ago (she was much like a forerunner for Mystic Meg)and her catchphrase was "Think lucky and you will BE lucky". So, perhaps the answer to entice good fortune your way is to concoct your own positive phrase, much like a modern day mantra.......go on, try it..after all "It could be YOU"
